Windows take up a significant amount of space, are expensive to replace, and are important structures for residential and commercial buildings. Understandably, many clients come with questions and concerns about adding window film to their home or business. We answer some of the most common questions below. Will the film break my glass?
No. Window film is a safe product that is designed with special adhesive for a smooth and seamless installation. At ClearView, we are experienced and certified professionals and take great care when installing your window film. We use high-quality products that are made to protect your glass and we also test the glass to ensure the product we offer is compatible.
Will it obscure my view?
No. Clear window film won’t obstruct your view. However, you can choose from completely transparent to frosted or tinted window film depending on your needs or requirement for privacy and security.
What is the cost?
The costs depend on a few variables, including the size of the window and what type of film you choose. In general, you can expect costs to range from $16-$22 per square foot.
What if I end up not liking it?
We want you to be satisfied with your window treatment. We go through a pre-purchase process where we provide samples so our clients get a chance to try the product before making a final decision. If you’re unsure, we’ll do a sample piece and onsite demonstration so you know exactly how it will look and function on the glass.
What if the film peels off or discolours?
We can guarantee that our products won’t peel off or discolour. At ClearView, we use Llumar/VISTA™ high-quality window film that will not purple or fade. We are certified by the IWFA (International Window Film Association) as Master Accredited Film Specialists, which means that your installation will be done properly. We offer a Lifetime Transferable Warranty on our window film products and will replace them if you experience any issues.
